Kel tec got the Minnie 9 right with the PF. Easy to shoot and conceal. You can pay a lot more and get less gun. Like others, I started out with the Colt .45 ACP, but the Keltec is faster to get into action and pretty much foolproof.

The .375 is a better heavy game gun. I also have both, both great rounds, take the 375 loaded with 250grn. bullets for Kodiak bear.

When the .30WCF 1st came out, Winchester advertised it as a grizzly cartridge. Years later when the .348WCF arrived, it was touted as an excellent choice for all Alaskan game. Either will do the job if you know how to hunt and shoot. That girl is a true hunter and shooter, bet no "experts"...

If, I didn't already have a BB 94 444, I'd look closely at the 450 Marlin, would make a heck of a Kodiak bear gun , for those of us that limit our shots to 250 yards. But, I won't pay over $ 700 for it.

High end AR'S and 1911A1's are what the buying public wants today. More about accessorizing and who can spend more $ to get a .45 ACP to shoot from 1/2" to 1/4" groups. It's just a different world today.

As a pure defensive piece it makes more sense than a full size battle rifle. Easier to transport and conceal. With the 33 shot mags, you are ready for anything.
