Re: Winchester 94 Trapper Question

Thanks for the site. I am aware of the Hi Viz. It is the front sight I have on my 1886 Browning rifle. The length however is too long and will not fit with the front barrel / mag tube ring. I wonder if maybe I could machine it to fit?

when they try to take up residence in my barn I resort to "trap em and scrap em" as for caliber and cartridge, it is whatever is in my hand at the time. as Mr. Jim T. said, shot placement is the key.

Winchester 94 Trapper Question

I just took possession of a Winchester 1894 Trapper Legendary Lawman in 30 wcf. This is my first Trapper and it is a great handling little carbine. I have already removed the rear sight and install a Lyman receiver sight. Now I want to change out the front blade to a green fiber optic blade. I find ...

30-30 Nostalgia

A while back I inherited my father's eclectic gun collection. Along with the guns came the ammo form the gun cabinet. Yesterday I pulled out the box with the ammo and sorted through it. I ran across this and had a good chuckle over the price tag. Then after I thought about it I stopped laughing. htt...

If I am not mistaken, S&W offers an "emergency kit" version of both the 500 and the 460 with 2 inch barrels. I seem to remember a review of the 460 on Gunblast.com. I am sure someone at S&W had a plan when the built a 2 inch 460. :?:

86er, A few questions if you do not mind. First, who would you consider for the takedown conversion of your 1886 and why? Would you prefer the Browning or the Winchester version and why? And finally if you could choose between an 1886 SRC or an 1886 Rifle, both of them Browning Hi-Grades which would...

I am starting drawings for an oversized 1886 action that will handle that round. Just have to figure out if my arm is long enough for the lever throw. And I will need some flat nosed bullets so we do not have any mag tube chain firing. Or maybe I can get Hornady to do a 20mm leverevolution?
