Re: Remington 141/25rem

I've got a model 14 in .25 Remington that was my Grandpa's. I haven't bought any ammo for it yet because he left me some.
I found these two places, but haven't tried them yet:

I've got six mags for my BLR81 in .308. Wouldn't an extended mag interfere with the lever?

I sure like my XDs. After the two month wait, I really couldn't tell the difference in trigger pull, once it was broke in again. The reset seemed to be a little more pronounced though.

They received my XDs on September 2nd, and had it back to me three days short of two months. They said the trigger would be slightly heavier, but I can't tell a difference. The reset does seem to have a more definite feel to it.

I knocked one off a pre-64 once also, it was epoxied back on from being knocked off before I got it. I had a decent local gunsmith do it. Steve could also do it I imagine, if you can't find anyone local. http://stevesgunz.com/ I eventually had an early type (SRC style) front sight base made. Did it...

94 Front Sight Base

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get my front sight base re-soldered to the barrel of my 1963 model 94. I was installing a HiViz on it, and had a wood back up block, but still broke it off. Less then 1/4 of the soldered mating area was still shiny, and the rest was kind of black, so I gu...

Re: Fake owls to deter birds?

I worked in a shop with 80' ceilings and we had a problem with pigeons (really P.O.ed some mechanics to see pigeon stuff on their $5,000 SnapOn toolbox. Owls worked for about a week. I put a back-up alarm inside one and it worked about 10 days. Finally we got a unit that reproduced predator calls (...

I sure do appreciate it SHASTA. I see Butt Plates on ebay from time to time, but most have a slight curve. I reckon I'll keep lookin. I just didn't want to buy one and have it not fit because the butt had been sawed off to fit the Pacmayr.

I love fresh tortillas. When I was a kid my buddies Mom made them every morning. She rolled them with a piece of 1" pipe and cooked them on an insert from an old wood burning stove laid on top of the gas burner on a modern stove.
