zeroing my scope?

looking for help and suggests for zeroing my "new" scope on my 30-30.

are there 30-30 specific targets?

what distance does everyone recommend?

You better shoot one first. ive heard its similar to shooting shotguns with slugs... and im 6'2" and 210lbs..... i think i can handle it..... lol and yes i will be trying to get a marlin...... actually im thinking about getting one of the wild west guns Alaskan guides. http://www.wildwestguns....

Hard to find a better "first": you've made a nice start there, Vash. And of course a Marlin made when Marlin was still "Marlin" is an "old Marlin". In some ways a 1981 Marlin 336 is older than a 1950 Marlin 336. Seems Marlin made these things on the same "old"...

Bought my "first" Lever gun yesterday.

first i must start by saying that armslist is my new best friend...lol

i found a local guy with an "old" (1981ish) marlin 30-30.

its the glenfield barrel 30a.

looking forward to shooting it this week.

just wanted to say how (amazing/ridiculous ) some of your guys collections are....

and i thought 5 or 6 was enough...... that one pic had to have 40+ rifles.....thats a college education right there, lol

thanks for the warm welcome guys.

hunting up here is pretty tame, just deer and turkey. further north and you might find an elk, :lol:

and yes i am a lever gun addict. in the the next month or two ill likely spend way to much on another one. :mrgreen:

hi guys.

my name is adam
im from NW ohio and have been a lever gun fan for several years.

taking the plung into 45-70 soon.
