You must have the Conservation Stamp and you may purchase that online from Wyoming Game and Fish. Do it from a computer that you can print with. The "stamp" is really just a certificate you will print and sign. About $10-12, I don't remember exactly.

I have never cycled a 336, but the 93 marlin I own is smooth enough for me. I think it is a bit more handsome too.
