My sense is you'd be buying yourself a piece of work...or running the risk. I've "known" several Bassetts that were incredibly endearing, and unlike some here none that were particularly dangerous (tht I knew of) - but nevertheless were pieces of work. At the very least, they'll eat you ou...

Welcome Joe! Gorgeous country you've got there in sight of the mighty San Juans. Montrose is where I picked up my 1917 Win 94 SRC at a pawn shop some fifteen winters ago traveling back from a trip to Steamboat. Still perhaps my favorite rifle. Glad you're here!

Griff, well then I may just hve to eat my hat! I could've sworn LSI (Legacy) "took over" before '99. Steve Young (aka Nate Kiowa Jones) has indicted when the prez of Interarms died, so basically did the company and some employees banded together to form LSI. That gent died in '98 IIRC, so ...

Griff I surprised at the combo, and if yours is a '91, that's it's an emblem that late. Have never seen an emblem combined with the black mystery stain, always a bit better wood. Also, by the time of the mystery stain, the rings were being phased out and of course all emblem'd guns had rings. Must b...

Re: Trying to date a Interarms 92
Early to mid 90s is getting perilously close to Legacy (LSI) takeover from Interarms. Late ones from Interarms no longer had the emblem/medallion as this has. Instead those later ones were the now infamous black "mystery stain/wood" and no more saddle rings as Interarms/Rossi really cranke...

Coldest I've ever felt was around 1976 walking across "the mall" in DC in January. It was about 15, clear as a bell with wind chill of 10 below -- and being underdressed for it, like a true Arizonan. Absolutely penetrating. This was after years in Flagstaff regularly much colder (empirical...
