Re: About the Fading 41 Magnum...My Combo

Nice combo! Try 7.0 gr of 231 under a 215 gr LSWC for a light load in your revolver. Several of us at my local club have had outstanding success with this load. Speer's 210 gr Gold Dot over 18.5gr of 2400 works well as a hotter load. I haven't yet tested the same bullet over H110, although I have a ...

Re: OT- Is the .41 Mag fading away?

I agree with previous posters that it has probably been fading since it's inception. IMHO, it's a terrific, and very much under-rated cartridge. With 7.0 gr. of 231 pushing a 210 gr. LSWC, it's very accurate, easy enough on the hands to shoot all day, and has PLENTY of power for a self-defense round...

In the woods, lakes, and mountains of rural Amercia, the 35 Remington has been proving it's superiority over weedy, small-bore, flash-in-the-pan cartridges like the 30 WCF and (the clearly superior but in no way close to the 35 Rem) 32 Special since 1906.
