I have a 310gr load that I can push to 1620, but it starts to keyhole after 50-70 yds. My R92 seems to need a faster rifle twist to stabilize the heavier bullets.

I shot six water jugs with my Rossi 92 chambered in 45 Colt. I wanted to test the penetration and expansion of my hand load that pushes a powder coated, 255 Gr cast lead Lee bullet to 1500fps. While a relatively mild +P load, I think it will do nicely as a hunting load. YouTube: https://youtu.be/oB1...
