'73 '76 action strength
Hi folks, long time no be here. Hope everyone is doing good. Several years ago their was a discussion about the strength of the '73/'76 action strength and someone posted a link to an article on Winchester having fired one of these rifles with one toggle link removed with proof loads. Does anyone re...

Re: Browning 71 part
the one in my Browning '86 SRC is the same two-piece type. Miroku is currently making an 86. So you should be able to use a part from that. Have you had any luck finding parts for a current Miroku Winchester 1886? The Miroku '86 is even different yet. It utilizes a split, flat, strut to accommodate...

Re: Browning 71 part
On the Browning 71 the mainspring guide is a two-piece affair that "trombones" into each other inside the spring. The guide doesn't go thru the mainspring abutment, but stops against it. I'm beginning to wonder if we'll have to change out the abutment, guide and hammer for an original 71 W...

The Ross, would. If I knew more about the bolt flying backward, it may. The one's with the alleged bolt issues were the 1910's. A lot of these guns have wallowed out chambers and headspace issues. Manufactured by Walther under license to Colt. Says Colt Gold Cup Trophy on one side, that and the basic shape and operating controls are the only thing similar to a 1911 about it. Think I'd rather have a Chiappa and save a couple of hundred bucks, and I don't care for Chiappa guns.
