Bob, A Savage/ Stevens Model 15/ 15A/ 15B, singleshot rifle is a simple, accurate rifle. I believe that the original Model 15 was more youth-oriented, and the "A" & "B" variants are fullsized. You can find them with either "Stevens" printed on them, "Savage/ St...

Gents, I understand that the civilian-grade, Express version is adequate for almost everyone's needs, but, after reading some of what Remington says to the "upper crust", I feel like we are getting inferior & inadequate Model 870s. For example, these items: • A heavier sear spring is u...

Gents, I bought a Winchester 94, made in 1976. Its receiver was pockmarked, and the bluing was eaten away. I wanted to clean it up, but I decided to give it a used appearence. Perry, I believe that the Rock Island XT-22 & the Armscor SP22 are built on Armscor's steel 1911 frames. I think that means that you can convert it to centerfire, if you want to, whereas, with the GSG, you have a dedicated .22LR pistol. Here is a review of an XT-22: http://www.rimfirecentral.com...

Perry, Part of the answer is that 5-in-1 Blanks were used in many of those movies & TV shows (from Wikipedia): 5-in-1 Blanks can be used in firearms chambered for the .38-40 Winchester, .44-40 Winchester, and .45 Colt because, although the bores of the firearms differ in diameter, the chambers (...
