The rifles I use mostly for the sport are a model 94 25-35, model 9422m 22 mag and model 9422 22lr. Sometimes I use my 94 30-30 and the rossi 92 45 colt. Cowboy silhouette was the first shooting sport I tried and liked. From there it progressed to trap and skeet, and now uspsa and idpa pistol stuff....

I just got back from hunting. I don't remember having to change the barrel band screws on my conversion. The cartridge guides do have a left and right. I've got the kimber warrior and desert warrior. They don't have the Series II firing pin block like most of the others.

So far they've been very good guns with a couple thousand round through each. A lot of guys recommend STI guns as well, but I think they are ugly.

My Browning 1886 SRC does the same thing. It's the new shell coming up that does it, and it only does it if you work the lever fast. It still goes through the die fine. :mrgreen:

I use wipe-out as well and it seems to work great. I'm going to get their lead-out and try that on some of my pistols.

The thing I like about their products is that they are safe for all metals and they don't use acids or ammonia.

I was just looking at SAICE. They make a cool double rifle hammergun. It's gear torward Alaska hunting and doesn't come in the big boomers. I'd like to have one in 338 mag if I was going bear hunting in Alaska 8) .

My Dad has one. It shoots great and the lever throw is nice and short. It's not as smooth as a 9422 and it is thicker (which sucks for packing), but I think they are a decent gun. I think the sights are great. I can hit just about anything with them.

Never had a problem killing coyotes or crows with it. It's excellent for prairie dogs too.

I also use it for the pistol cartridge cowboy sillouette shooting. It always kills the rams when I hit them.

This is my favorite round next to the 25-35.

If you do dry fire it, I would recommend pushing the firing pin in first so that it's not slamming into the bolt. Just use your finger and push it in and don't tip it up when you do it.

John Browning is the MAN! I'll pick a winchester 94 anyday. I've never shot a marlin 336, but I did shoot the marlin 39 22lr and it jammed on me. I never could make myself like the way the marlins look.

I think it's fiqured out. I trimmed some cases dow to 2.018 and they go in fine and come out fine. I also fired 8 rounds of factory ammo and the lever opens easy.

I'm going to trim all my cases to 2.018.

Well, since John Browning is the greatest gun designer ever, and I pretty much like all the guns he designed, that leaves only winchester leveractions. They're stong for the calibers chambered and they just feel right in the hand.

Yep, they're called the stallion model now. I was going to get one, but after comparing it to the colt peacemaker 22, I got the colt. The Stallion wasn't bad though, I just didn't care for the trigger compared to the colt.

Barrel thread is the same, but you'll have to cut a new extractor grove. The later AE barrels are bigger a round and need barrel bands to fit. You can use the same forearm, but some sanding will need to be done.
