I've been contemplating cutting down my barrel from 20 inch to 16 inch, no other reason than I just like the look. The gun is a Marlin 336 in 35 Rem. Is the cost worth it or should I just buy a gun with the 16 inch barrel and sell mine?

This is a Win 94 AE SRC 44 mag. Only the gun, no box. The serial number is 65xxxxx, made sometime after 1982? It's in great shape high 98% to 99%. 20 inch barrel. Tang safety, no X bolt safety. Guys, can I get some help? Friend has a 95% condition Winchester 38-55, serial number 44x,xxx. Book says 1908 manufacture. Any idea of price? Thanks,Mike
