For a short time I was a guard at Universal Studio`s back in late 1964, early 1965. I met Crawford and talked to him. Prior to that I didn't like him from Highway Patrol. Re: Why I haven't bought a Marlin 336 ......

Ive had a few marlins. The 39A and a Mountie I shouldn't have let go of. The 39A just struck me as being a lot bigger and clunkier than it needed to be for a little 22. In 22`s I have always liked the Winchesters, always sleeker and lighter in the 61, 62 and 63`s and 9422 of which I had/have example...

This 1890 Winchester was already customized with a pistol grip stock with cheek piece when I bought it around the early 1970`s. It was in .22 WRF. As you know the wrf has the same diameter bullet as the .22 mag. I asked a gunsmith friend about lengthening the chamber to the more available .22 mag. I...

I bought this 94 new in about 1956 when I was 15. Right away I had a pad put on for LOP and a williams foolproof. It has held its zero and the gun is accurate. Never had to move the sight. Set it for 100 yards. I once shot a buck with it around 220 paces. I was a wet snow and he was high above me on...

No, its a J.C. Higgins 12 gauge. I think they were called a model 20. I am pretty sure they were made by Hi-standard for Sears. I bought it about in 1955 when I was 14 years old.
