I just watched Appaloosa with Ed Harris and Viggo Mortenson. Really liked it. Not your typical western. More period authentic. I think I will be watching this movie again.......real soon.

Re: OT - LONESOME DOVE
One of my favourites. I watch it at least once a year. There are so many scenes that stand out, but one that always makes me chuckle is where Jake has just returned and is explaining how he had to leave Arkansas real quick because he accidentally shot a dentist. The boards of the saloon didn't stop ...

Top movie. I thought Walter Brennan was fantastic, he stole every scene he was in. Don't know how many times I've watched it, I have it on DVD. Might go take another look. Thanks for the reminder.

Laws are very different where I am. Distillation of spirit is most definitely against the law. However, I am allowed to distill water for batteries, irons, etc. For this purpose and this purpose only I also use a reflux.

Joe, at the risk of annoying you further, just take a look at this link and scroll down to the last of the 303. It is a lovely Wesley richards, not a bolt gun, but still very handsome.

Joe, I've heard of a few guys that have bought sporting stocks - plastic - for the 303 and use that to hunt with and keep the wood safe. Makes the rifle a whole lot lighter as well. Just a thought.
