Re: New holsters for pocket guns

I have a Mika pocket holster I use for a Ruger LCR. I purchased the pocket holster with the flat bottom. I found that most of my pants pockets are mostly flat like that. I also like that it is made of a synthetic material. Less moisture concerns.

Re: Kid left home alone finds his mother's handgun.....

Old Ironsights - I was also wondering about shooting at a fleeting car. With the car leaving, does that mean the threat has ended or, since the criminals have already proven themselves a threat, does the threat still exist? I would assume differing state laws would have much to say about that.

Re: Affordable Rain Gear

I also have some of the Toggs rainwear and it is as others say. It's very reasonably priced, light weight and will keep you dry. But if you exert yourself such as like hiking, you will sweat under it.

Re: What do you carry in your 38 Special?

Oldwin, Thanks for the reply. I thought I was the one who was crazy. I bought a Ruger LCR in .38 special about a year ago and had spent a fair amount of time investigating an ammunition type for personal protection. Like I said in my previous post, the idea behind Hornady Critical Defense just makes...

Re: Thanks For The Memories

Early in life I always held the man in high esteem but a show at the 1983 University of Florida Homecoming (Gator Growl) started to give me second thoughts. The show was held at the very full U of F stadium at night. At the beginning of the show he rode out onto the field in this beautiful old green...

Re: weight lifting questions

The thing to be careful about when going to a heavier weight is not injuring yourself. I would encourage you to increase the weight gradually. Dont be in a hurry. Working out is about working to get fit or maintaining a level of fitness. It's not about strictly making gains. To injure a tendon or le...

Re: Bear Population in FL

"we'd put a splash of household ammonia before closing up the trashbags." Before finally relenting to double bagging our trash and storing it in the furnace room until trash day, we also use to put ammonia in our trash can. It seemed to work until we had this particular momma bear, with cu...

Re: Bear Population in FL

I live in Western North Carolina in an area that is in between suburban and rural. Bears were a regular occurance around our house until we changed the way my wife and I handled our garbage. Now all food scraps go into the freezer and the rest is double bagged for storage in the furnace room. On the...

Re: Is it just me???

I never post either. Just "lurk" for all the good information on this site. But I have noticed a slowdown in posting also. I assumed it was because of the ammo prices and supplies. Therefore people just aren't shooting as much and thus don't have as much to write about.

Re: Vintage Picture Of The Day.

I have never posted here before but this Daisy advertisement brought back a stream of memories. My older brother had a Daisy BB gun just like this that was passed down to me. It was pretty wore out when I received it. The BB would only fly about 15' before starting to drop. If I had known better at ...
