Over here Varget is considered a good powder for the three-oh-three. Its the only one I used.

Well, I quite enjoyed that, and read it as the writer presenting interesting stuff as he found it.

Gentlemen, I have a Rossi .44/40 24 inch Octagonal barrel rifle. I dont actually have it with me at the moment, hence my question, but how is the forearm and metal cap attached to the barrel? At short range hunting havnt noticed any difference, but then you wouldn't I suppose. Range shooting a couple of times I noticed that they would shoot high for some reason.

I sort of find this unlikely - why would they use .30/30's? Do they still have them lying around from the last time they did it?
