Re: Opinions on fee for CCW Permit

No offense taken...NY does a lot of dumb things, mostly downstate in Bloombergland which, by the way, will hopefully float off into the Atlantic in the next big storm!!

Re: Opinions on fee for CCW Permit

Southwestern end of New York State, Chautauqua County...each county handles the process as it sees fit. I believe in Monroe County (in which the city of Rochester sits) they have a five year renewal plan.

Re: Opinions on fee for CCW Permit

Cost me $105 for the class and processing about 10 years ago...permit is lifetime (no renewal needed) or until you give them a reason to revoke it.

Re: Went to NYC...

I live at the western end of NYS and wish that we could cecede from NY City's control of this state. They could keep all of the incumbent politicos and we would happily start over. Been there several times as my mother's sisters lived there. Have no desire to ever go back. :!:

Re: My first 4x4, Jeep Wrangler

Back in '07 I bought an '02 Sport, 5 speed, straight 6 with 14K miles on it from a private owner. It had both the soft and hard tops. Loved it. Drove it until 2010 when I sold it to get a pickup which more suited my needs; couldn't afford to have both. The fella I sold it to had his '87 rear ended a...

help finding website...

About a month ago a member, in response to another member's query, posted a link to a reloading website which took me directly to page showing dimensional info for the 45 Colt cartridge. It looked like a great site offering more info if you signed up to the site. I cannot find that link now and was ...

Re: OT--Record grizzly, killed, 22 Long

A number of years ago some downstate "kids" stole a car and a 9mm handgun, drove up one of our county roads and parked with a white towel hanging out the driver's window. The young "lady" who accompanied them sat on the hood while her accomplices waited in the weeds. A young lad ...

Re: OT: Did you get to enjoy your Father's Day???

Had a great afternoon with my eldest daughter. Went for about a 5 mile hike on the county maintained Eastside Overland Trail. Skeeters and deer flies were miserable and we forgot bug spray! Took the return trip the long way around on the county roads to avoid the pests. It was hotter but more enjoya...

I'm sure you've made a mark or will make a mark. It most likely won't be recognized or appreciated until after you are gone.
