Re: Successful moose shooting with Henry 22LR
I bought a used Henry at Cabelas just like the picture above, minus the scope. It shoots great and is more fun to take to the range than any other rifle I have. The Henry IS AMERICAN MADE and a great product. Any other rifle I buy will be a Henry. Would love to get the big boy in 357 mag.

Both rifles appear to be shot and there is no box for the rifle either.

Re: Local LGS has 2 used Winchester 94 30-30 leverguns
Yes the rifles appear to be in shooting condition. I did work the levers on the rifles and they were a little rough. Could be from a lack of oil. But the rifles were not anything on the must have list. They appeared to be in shooting and walking thru brush type guns. The only reason for interest was...

Re: Revolver Accuracy
My 686 shoots either well. When I practice at the range, I will practice from 5 feet to 45 feet and hit the target consistently.

Local LGS has 2 used Winchester 94 30-30 leverguns
My local gun store has 2 used 30-30 winchester 94 leverguns for sale. One is marked as made in 1944, the other is a canadian comemerative edition. I believe each were priced between $600-700.
Is this a good buy?
Outside appearance on each are very little in scratches and no rust.

Re: Pistol Caliber Lever Action Carbine?
My original idea was a modern pistol cartridge in a lever action carbine, much like the 357/38 spcl or 45 long colt. I understand now that what sounds good on paper, is a lot more difficult in real life to make.

Re: Pistol Caliber Lever Action Carbine?
Being a person not into tinkering with my weapons, it was a question I had to ask. I know you can buy AR uppers in pistol calibers, so it just peaked my interest if it was possible. Considering I enjoy shooting leverguns more than the black rifles. Thanks for all the input from everyone, I have defi...

Pistol Caliber Lever Action Carbine?
Does anyone know if a manufacturer makes a lever action carbine in a pistol caliber(9 mm, 40 S&W, 45 acp). I know they make them in revolver calibers(357/38 spl, 44 mag).

Last Wednesday I was watching the outdoor channel the Shooting Gallery show. They were talking with one of the gentleman from Thunder Ranch on carbine training, he taked about an old LE gentleman who showed up at the course with an old lever action 30-30. The man out shot everyone, even those with b...

I also bought a used Henry H001 and love the rifle. A lot of fun to shoot and as accurate a rifle that I will ever need. More fun to shoot than my AR's.

Re: OT-AR15 During WWII
Was watchimg the history channel about the french foreign legion, and they switched to the M1 carbine in Vietnam. So again you can take it for what it is worth. Considering that the gun was used in Vietnam by US as well as ARVN, the weapon has proven itself over the years.

Thanks everyone. I have always wanted a levergun. When I bought this Henry, I was originally looking at a S&W mp 15-22. But liked the Henry better. It was the best buy in my opinion.

I am a Newbbie to the leverguns
Hello, I just registered on this site. Last week I bought my 1st levergun at Cabellas. It was a Henry H001 carbine in 22lr. Only paid $229. Took t out to the range and I didn't have to change a thing. My son tried the gun and had the same results. It is a definitely fun gun to shoot. Just wanted to ...
