Re: Poll: Do you own a "Trapper" length lever gun?

I happen to be lucky to have a Marlin 1894 S Limited (one of 250 made ) in 45 Colt with 16 1/4 barrel. Changed to Skinner sights both Ft and rear. Use 255 LFN over 11 Gr of unique, or 300 Gr Hornady XTP 's over 22 Gr of 4227. I have it set to about 2 in high at 50 yds and on at 100. I also have a ve...

Re: Old win 94 38-55

S# of the 94 is 64119 so it is very early. Is the rebarrel from 1983 Legacy series a complete chop to any collectability of this nice old rifle? Even though the rest is very nice with rcvr turning a nice patina, the stock looks still original and mag tube still has most of the original blue?

Re: 94 Marlin limited

1st for Mescalero, City of the Cross's! 2nd. No box, no papers, got it at an auction at a nice $. I really enjoy using it as it is great for an old fanny burp like me to carry around in the thick scrub high desert mountains and canyons. l made a nice sling and matching leather buttstock cover for it...

94 Marlin limited

I have a 1894 S Marlin Limited that was supposed to be built in 1994. this is like new in 45 Colt with a 16 1/4 inch barrel. I have read that this is a rare model and has collector value. I have fired it about 20 times and it is a blast (PUN intended) to shoot. I can't find any info on this model an...

Re: OT - One gun, one load?

I use the 6.5 for just about anything. I like to use cast for target and fun , load my own in 100 gr, use 120/ 140 gr for deer and have several nice cow Elk with 140 grs. I don't think it can be beat, check out some of the many articles on loads for it. Beats the 270 and 308 for all ranges out to 50...

Still hoping for some ideas on what is this 16 inch barrel new "The Marlin Limited" in 45 colt is and when , for what distributor, how many and how much they cost and any collectible value if any. Or what is it worth now in new unfired (except factory test) condition.

Re: 22 RIMFIRE FAVORITES

I really like the old ITHICA lever model 72 of which I have two that are just about like new and a Model 49-R which is the early and quite rare lever made by Ithica here in US before the change to the 72 made by Erma in Germany. The 72's are as smooth and very nearly identical to the Henry. Actually...

Re: Auction finds

Actually, I am trying to find info about my new 1894 S in 45 colt with 16 in barrel and the SN all uncatalogued and marked as indicated above. I also am stating that it will go nicely with the 1895 GS 45/70 Guide Gun I also have had since 2000 I got new. Which IS PORTED, and I am curious as to when ...

Auction finds

I just won a Marlin still new and can't find any info on this little carbine with 16 1/2 in barrel. It has the 1894 S with"The Marlin Limited" rollmarked on the barrel. Blue Book says says there were 1500 made in 1996 only and only in 44 Mag, but this is in 45 Colt. I also can't find any i...
