Re: Terry Murbach - Where in the Black Hills?

I was in Rapid last week for the baseball tournament. I didn't get much time to look around but the hills are extra pretty this year. It's nice to see it so green out there. We'll be back out there over Labor Day so I hope to get a chance to do a little gun shopping and some sight seeing.

Re: Does anyone have Sleep Apnea

I've been a member of the CPAP club for about five years. What a big difference it makes. I had no idea what a good night's sleep really felt like until I got "the mask". Looking back, I probably had sleep apnea for several years but didn't understand what it was. In my case, I woke up gas...

Re: 22 Magnum Launching Pads

My truck gun is a Henry H001M . Nice lightweight easy to shoot rifle. I bought it used in like new condition for $230 so I don't lose any sleep if I get a scratch on it. I've never shot a Golden Boy but I would think it's about the same. Ruger also makes a fine rimfire. I shot a 10/22 for years (and...

Re: Who's hunting tomorrow (Sat. 10/18)?

Bowhunting in the morning, pheasant season opens at noon, and bowhunting again late afternoon. It's my birthday tomorrow so it's the only day of the year with no honey do list waiting for me. At least that's the plan; I'll probably end up cleaning my shop and straightening up the reloading room.

Re: job offered in Wash DC

tr, I'm in the same line of work as you but in the opposite corner of the state. I just took my daughter to Spearfish a couple weeks ago to start school. That is one of the most beautiful areas I've ever been in. The scenery and clear air is unbelievable. We drove thru the canyon at about 20 miles a...

This is going to be a tough one for Mom as my Dad just passed away about three weeks ago. They always went camping for Mother's day in the past. We plan to grill and just hang out at her house for the day. For my wife, the kids and I are going to clean the house from top to bottom on Saturday and th...

You were almost in my backyard. I live halfway between Beresford and Vermillion. There is a small shop or two in Lennox and Dakota Archery in Yankton has a nice selection if you want to go a little out of your way on the way home next time. Also a nice looking shop by Dell Rapids that I've never bee...

We have a long haired Jack Russell that is convinced he is human. Gets treated that way too. No one would get close to my wife and kids with him around. The long haired Jack Russells shed very little and they are one of the most loyal breeds I've known. We also have a lab and a mixed breed pound dog...

t.r. I'm in the opposite corner of the state - Vermillion. Flat as a pancake here although we do have some pretty good whitetail hunting. My son and I did take a couple nice muleys by Belle Fouche a couple years ago with the muzzleloaders. Beautiful country out there. My daughter is about 90% sure s...

**sigh** Mine speaks for itself. 8)

Actually, my wife has tolerated me for a little over 22 years now and thankfully is used to a little teasing. She isn't into guns at all but pretty much accepts the fact that I am and that our two boys (16 & 10) are as well.
