Try making an adjustment and then before firing your next shot tap it with an empty shell. Chances are the adjustments are not settling. I read somewhere about the new Timberlines doing that and I think the Short-Mags may be much the same.

honestly, i doubt that you could pull that off safely. to get there you would need to convert your gun to a 30/30 improved or a 307. then you dont have reliable data. that said, you might get 2325 or so with the leverevolution 160 grain factory 30/30 loads. It may be possible to handload 2350 to 240...
