Re: Leverguns In Combat
I haven't seen the issue but the military used 94's to patrol the spruce forests on i think the western coast back during one of the WW's. Not really used for combat but the mounted patrol had them. They were dubbed spruce guns.

Got to messing with this thing while ago. It's rough as a cob.
Has anyone installed a barrel band on these? Or does anyone know if it's possible? That firend cap bugs me...

Re: R92 improvements
so it's been buggin me all day. So i came straight home from work and started tinkering. With the 45 cal, it takes almost all available space for the cartridge to make it through the hole. While loading, the rim was literally hanging up on that protrusion. Using my punch, I tested the stop again to ...

I picked one of these up today at lunch, and I noticed right away that the action is a little bit different than their Winchester 94 brethren. Has anyone actually compared this side-by-side with a 94? What are the differences in detail? It is a clean little lever gun. http://imageshack.us/a/img540/8...

I dont consider this a major issue. It does work... Just not as well as my 357 r92. I want it to feed smoother than it does is why i am trying to fix it. Steve suggested tweaking the ejector guide a slight bit to contact the cart stop sooner and more solidly. I will look closer before i grind or ben...

I made a couple posts asking about different 92's in 357. My thing was i wanted something that would reliably run 38 specials. After much going back and forth between the Browning and Taylor's, i decided to take so many of yall's advice and i bought a Rossi. Two actually. A 20" 357 and a 16&quo...

I still got the hots for a 92 in 357 but like i said in my Browning thread, dont want a safety like the Winchesters or Rossi's or rebounding hammer like the Winchesters. I do want it to be able to shoot 38 specials though. T...

I am going to be replacing my Marlin 1894CP with another gun. I am thinking of a 92 clone. I like the Browning because it seems they are truest to JMB's design and they dont have any safties or rebounding hammer, but i hear they dont cycle 38's well.
