Mine was really bad with rust and stains. I put it in the oven on the cleaning mode. Gets much hotter. When I was done all the crud and rust was on the bottom of the stove. It came out like it was brand new and all I had to do was season it.

If you're in Jackson you can always come visit Jackson Hole Gun Club. About 3 miles south of town. I live there and you're welcome to come shoot. Lots of fishing all around. Right now its between skiing and tourist season so its not crowded.

I don't mind dressing out animals, I just hate the smell sometimes. Some recommend the gloves to avoid coming in contact with CWD. Personally, this year I was glad I wasn't wearing gloves. It was minus 15 when I got my elk and those innards kept my hands warm!

I had a Leupold rangefinder that I only got to use for about a month before I lost it on a hunting trip. It worked pretty good. I recently bought a Sig Kilo2000. I love it. It is very fast and very accurate. You can find them online for about $355 I believe.

I spoke to a warden in Wyoming while hunting. He told me he gives his children airhorns to scare off bears while they're outside playing and he's used them successfully. that is a more modern photo than it appears. what gives it away for me is the light in the back ground and the sharpness of the trees, film in the early 1900s wasn't that sharp. it could be from the 50s up, but I think latter than that,,,, I agree that ain't a Kodak box pic, but... given the depth ...

I just read where Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation teamed up with Kimber for a 10mm 1911 style pistol as a bear protection gun. I think its called a Camp Guard. I never shot a 10mm so I don't know how it would perform on a charging grizzly. Probably get off more shots....if time allowed.
