Re: Local CA "gunshow"
The best deal I ever found out of a gun show was a local FFL that decided to be profitable through volume. His prices were such that I probably bought 20 or more new guns through him. He would also place guns I wanted to sale in his booth, sale them, hand me all the proceeds, handle the transfer and...

I quit going to the Del Mar gunshow a long time ago to look for guns. I have gone a couple times for powder and primers over the last year, and found they generally don't have what I want. I have a Sportman's safe manufactured in Carson, California. I bought it in the early 80's from the factory. They were manufactured in Carson and their claim to fame was their steel had no seams. S&G combination lock. Never had a bit of problems with it in 25 years.

Re: Must I ship muzzleloader to FFL?
I would say if it isn't going to cost you anything why not send it to an FFL unless the FFL requires you to be an FFL and you are not. If that were the case make the buyer pay for any extra costs associated with the transfer. As a Californian I am very sensative about all the people who now refuse t...

I can attest to Front Sights emphasis on safe dry fire practicing. No ammo in the room, checking and double checking magazines and chambers, no distractions, and having a specified target that is put up for practice and taken down after practice are key. They stressed it on a daily basis during my 4...

I hate reserve auctions and with very few exceptions will not bid on one unless the reserve is already met. I can't figure those sellers out. By the same token I can't figure out buyers that will bid $200 on a Reserve auction when there is a Buy Now price of $3,000.
