Re: Best HD Shotgun load ??????
This article/videos from The Truth About Guns site by Robert Farago will give you a good idea. I like #1 buckshot.

#4 comes up a little short in penetration in my book.

I like the lower hammer spur on the EMF. Both are sweet. Looking at a tuned gun from Longhunt in .38/.357

Re: defense shot gun
The most reliable in the elements, between the 500 and 870 is the 500/590. You can't really go wrong with either one. They will both last a long time, indefinitely. The elevator on the 870 can be a real wake-you-up finger pincher. The lower elevator position on the 500 keeps dirt out and makes more ...

Re: Ballistol anyone?
Slight conditioning. It works best on metal and provides some enhancement to other materials. Main point, I suppose, is that it will not hurt anything and will at worst slightly improve other materials. No need to worry about damaging anything. Bottom line, don't get it solely for leather conditioni...

Re: Ballistol anyone?
I have used it for the last few years and can recommend it without reservation. I get the 16 ounce size and and put it in a spray bottle. Works on metal, plastic, wood and leather. Ballistol got a big boost from Hickcock 45 You Tube videos.

Just picked up 550 box Federal 36 grain plated HPs for around $19.00 and 555 box Winchester same load for around $20.00 plus 8.75% sales tax here in kalifornia from WalMart. Will just keep buying until I have around a million rounds and if the things keep going south I have something worth something...

Re: NRA Politics (What to do, fixes, rants, information, etc...)
I finally had enough with RINOs and compromise and the "can't we all just get along" garbage. Elections have consequences and with the SCOTUS at a razor thin 5-4 on the RKBA I say no more "well it's better than nothing." soto-mayor upheld the D.C. gun ban on the Appellate court a...

Re: NRA Politics (What to do, fixes, rants, information, etc...)
I did not renew this year. First, and it was so wrong, the NRA cut a deal on the Dislose Act. NRA Board Member Cleata Mitchell was right on. If there is no First Amendment then there will be no Second Amendment. The end came for me when they endorsed approximately 56 democrat incumbants for the Hous...
