Re: Different Lever - Hopkins & Allen
Is the 32-20 ammo sold as CASS loads lower pressure than other factory ammo? I would be getting way ahead of myself shopping for 32-20 dies now but if I could get some low pressure factory loads it would supply me with brass and provide instant gratification.
Thanks,
Tom

Different Lever - Hopkins & Allen
Well, I just picked up a Hopkins & Allen falling block rifle (with lever}. When I bought it I thought the caliber was 32 Rimfire as did the owner. When I looked at it more closely on my workbench I noticed the barrel says 32 WCF. Thats 32-20 isn't it? The chamber length looks long enough to be 3...

Re: Reduced loads
Thanks for the good advice.
I think I will just get new cases and load them with 4895 as I did with the others.
You guys are great!

Reduced loads
I have a Remington Rolling Block carbine in 7mm. The gun is in really good condition but must be close to 100 years old. I have fired 20+ rounds of modern factory ammo with it but I am reloading at reduced levels due to the age of the gun and the recoil. I have gotten most of my brass for reloading ...

Re: 357 1894 Scope Height
Old Savage, Your Marlin looks great. Mine looks very similar but my problems are that with the Weaver base and rings I can't move the scope far enough forward to take advantage of the long eye relief of the Weaver 2x scope. Also I wonder if another mount would bring the scope closer to the receiver....

357 1894 Scope Height
Hi, I have a 1894 in 357 and decided to scope it since I have a nice little Weaver 2.5 available. I am using the usual Weaver 63 base and some unknown rings. The setup looks great (for a handle) but it seems I just can't see thru it without lifting my face off the stock a little. I would also like t...

Peep Sights for Marlin 1894 357 Magnum
I am thinking of using either the Williams FP or WGRS sight on my Marlin.
I know that either of these sights will hang over the receiver and require the use of the hammer extension.
Do any of you have pictures of your guns with these sights?
Any other suggestions or comments?
