I like the Nosler 200 gr. RNJHP, behind Unique. The same bullet in 240 gr. is more accurate in my 92 Carbine, and WW296 powder in mag cases.

For an extra firm crimp with the 44WCF, I double crimp. Roll crimp first, then use the Lee FCD.
Just hope you never attempt to break one down if you make a mistake.

Nice Post. I shoot a pair of 51 navy's in CAS/SASS competition. I also have a pair of 1860's that I shoot, by far the 51's are my favorite. For light loads of Unique and other flake powders I use an Aquarium pump on the powder hopper of my Dillon. A 30 Remmy case is the same as a 25, you can neck down a 30 and ream the neck to the proper thickness.
BTW; the 25 Remmy was the least made chambering of the model 14/141 Rifles. In good shape they are worth more than the 30's & 35's.

Let me know how far the side plate goes after the links blow-out. Keep you head low as the Bolt part your hair.
May I suggest 5% instead of 10%. The 45-70 case is twice the volume of the 44WCF.
Either way I would not attempt this with my 73 44WCF. 92 yes, and maybe. 73 NO !
