North GA, Marlin 1894 44.mag w/ Winchester white box 240 grain JSP. Shot once running away and it reversed and ran back at me and hit it again. Either shot would have done it. Two beagles chased the deer right by me and appeared on its trail after I shot it. They had collars on, barked at me and too...

Hunting with dogs is allowed in the south. Hunting with dogs is just as much a sport as any other, however many argue the point. Many in the western part of the US frown upon it, however, they have different terrain. In the south, we have alot of swamp land, and land that is covered in thick brush. ...

+1 on what dude said. The 1863 Sharps Military Carbine had the ring mounted on the left side of the receiver where it meets the stock. Civil War Cavalry Soldiers wore a sling that went over head and rested on one shoulder while the other side went under the arm. It prevented them from loosing contro...

The letter of the law always views things in BLACK and WHITE. Despite your motive, you could be charged for Killing a Deer out of Season and possibly shooting a deer and not tagging it. He could also accuse you of being the individual that shattered the deers leg in the first place. I have seen othe...

You may want to take the time to research hunting regulations before you go shooting someones dog. In Georgia, it is legal to hunt deer with dogs. Whether you agree or disagree is inmaterial, its LEGAL. If you shot my dog and I could identify you, I would ensure that you were prosecuted to the full ...

Not sure what the terrain is going to be like. The .22 mag would be a good choice at closer ranges as well as a 12 ga with 000 or 0000. However, if longer ranges are possible I would opt for the .243.

SUBSONICS may shoot good in a Single Shot but due to the shorter length they seldom feed in other types of actions. Most do not notice enough accuracy advantage to deal with constant misfeeds.

Pull the lever off and take 000 steel wool and ensure any burrs or machine marks are removed from the finger that slips i...
