Welcome. Any time I have experienced sticky extraction it was due to pressure. I am not familiar with .25-35 load data. Load data is easy enough to research. I am familiar with case design and I can tell you that the .25-35 like the .348 Win case design can and does function like a wedge in the rifl...

Not to take this thread off topic, regarding shooting the mag. tube loose with heavy recoiling loads in the Rossi 92 carbine. I experienced the same thing. I replaced the forward most barrel band with a later Marlin 1894 barrel band and screw. The Marlin screw is considerably larger/fatter and provi...

I rarely go to brown bear country, but I think I would look for a bullet of 260 gr. at minimum, with an idea toward penetration rather than expansion. Your 92 is strong enough for any legit .44 mag. load, up to and including the 300 gr. heavy-bullet loads. Only problem you might encounter is that s...

You won't regret buying it. They had steel magazine tubes until sometime in 1978, then brass after that so your's should be steel if it's original. My only complaint with the 9422 is that the inner magazine tube sometimes likes to stay in the case, when you pull the rifle out to put it back in the ...
