stopped by a hock shop looking for a 308 for my son. there on the rack was a full set of rem. model 8s. 25 , 30 , 32 , and 35. the 35 sold as i watched. afterward i spoke to the shop owner, said he bought them from an old man, claimed he did not have anyone interested in them to give/leave them to, ...

trying to rechamber to 38-55 probably won't help if the chamber has been polished too big at the shoulder. the 38-55 is about the same diameter at that point as the 30wcf. you would need a wider cartridge to do you any good. the chamber cast is the way to go, as it will give you the best idea of whe...
