Re: New Xtreme Self Defense Ammo to be released on Sept 17th.

The 9X18 is creating some controversy. There is a 9X18 that uses a standard (parabellum) sized bullet and a 9X18 Mak that uses a .366-.367 bullet. I need to know the demand for each before I can determine the return on investment of creating a totally new and unique size bullet. If there is some dem...

Re: New Xtreme Self Defense Ammo to be released on Sept 17th.

357 Sig - once the ammo is released for sale I will start working on the 32 ACP, 45 GAP, 357 Sig and even the 9X19. I am certain my 357 bullet will work in the Sig cartridge with the proper seating depth. The 9mm bullet may not have enough velocity in the 9X18 - so we'll just make a new one for that...

Re: New Xtreme Self Defense Ammo to be released on Sept 17th.

In order to complete the 32 ACP I need a gun. I make sure every caliber of ammo functions flawlessly, achieves the velocity I list and the bullet performs as expected. I do not have a 32 ACP. If you are interested in loaning one for around 5 or 6 weeks, I will trade for ammo. Obviously, I have an FF...

The penetration meets the FBI standards on ballistic gelatin both covered and uncovered. I did not try to meet the standard on auto glass, glass at an angle or wallboard.

All the ammo is within SAAMI spec and can be used in any guns originally for the caliber.

New Xtreme Self Defense Ammo to be released on Sept 17th.

Our new line of ammunition will be released for sale on September 17th, 2009. This is of particular interest to levergunners since the calibers include 38, 357, 44 Spl, 44 Mag and 45 Colt. Also included for the auto pistol carrier are 380, 9mm, 40 and 45 ACP. Each bullet is specific to the cartridge...

Re: Barrel liner thickness?

I think you are referring to a barrel sleeve. What happens, in short, is that the bore is reamed smooth and a tube that contains the chamber and rifling diameter of the new caliber is fused into the smooth tube you've created. The tubes can be turned down to very small diameters, and of course made ...

There is not enough difference in bullet designs within the same caliber to drastically effect the ricochet. However, if one did richochet, the lighter bullet would clearly loose velocity faster, become unstable quicker and have less overall effect on anything it hit. Think in simple terms of skippi...

If you achieve this with components readily available to the consumer you will experience erratic pressure, accuracy and velocity due to temperature changes. You also risk poor extraction/ejection. The majority of .308/180gr bullets are designed for 30-06 standard factory velocities. At ranges under...
