That's what I was wondering, if I could just shorten the mag tube from the rear. Also, my front sight is the ramp style and wouldn't it be easier to deal with. "Next to nothing" sounds like a good price. Be advised, it's hard to get Colts timed. I have heard rumours that the factory doesn't even work on them any longer, and parts are very hard or impossible to get. Even good Smith gunsmiths generally won't work on Colt DA's, they are very fussy ...
