Remington made sort of something like that for Rolling Blocks. It was an aperature, but "out on the barrel", not a tang sight, etc. Never seen one except in pictures, but appears to have some of the same thinking.

Only 8 lbs? Well, there's only 8 shells.... right? Governor Perry used to (probably still does) hunt them with a suppressed 9mm carbine, at night. Old friend of mine used a 10mm Glock, brought back fairly regularly 150-200lb hogs. His wife gave him a Christmas upgrade to a .454 Casull back around 9/11, but he still brought the Glock as a backup piece.

The FC reduced recoil is the most commonly found one I've seen. We use the FC-LE load at work, or did till we pulled our lethal shotguns (for the moment).
