Once when they were in port in San Diego, at the same pier (in line) they had the Nimitz and Constellation. Mid 1990s. On the flight deck, you couldn't see the gaps between ships, it looked like you were on a 3,000 foot flight deck......

Remington made sort of something like that for Rolling Blocks. It was an aperature, but "out on the barrel", not a tang sight, etc. Never seen one except in pictures, but appears to have some of the same thinking.

Only 8 lbs? Well, there's only 8 shells.... right? I used to carry a 27lb machine gun... with another 40lb of ammo. 800 reasons to keep your head down. :) Nice piece, though the barrel's a bit long for my personal tastes (i tend to go for close range pieces and shorter barrels) i bet it shoots great.

I'm with 7.62 on this one.

Have not shot a Henry, handled several. They may be Marlin copies, but they feel heavier in the hand.

As long as they're tube-load only, i will have no use for one except in .22.

More elephants have been killed (by the same man) with a .303 and a 7mm Mauser than any other caliber. Because the man knew how to shoot. I carry a .45. I've been carrying a .45 for 14+ years. Never felt underarmed when carrying an M9 with FMJ, though the ammo was not my favorite. My agency issues ....

Been a busboy (in Los Angeles), we got a cut of the waitress tips. Since ours was a nice place and we made a million (in profits) in 3 months....yeah, even though I was technically making min wage (at the time, $5.15/hr) I was effectively getting 2 paychecks, since my tip share equaled my paycheck.....

Never actually ridden a motorcycle.

That's one good looking bike though. As are the Victory bikes. The Harley Soft Tail I think, sits really low, is ironically, a bike that felt really "right" to me sitting on it, that I would not have thought I would like.

Governor Perry used to (probably still does) hunt them with a suppressed 9mm carbine, at night. Old friend of mine used a 10mm Glock, brought back fairly regularly 150-200lb hogs. His wife gave him a Christmas upgrade to a .454 Casull back around 9/11, but he still brought the Glock as a backup piece.

They saw battlefield use in Europe to a limited extent. I ran into one in a smaller museum in Italy, it had been used in several battles. Something like 14 shots in a row from one air tank, in under a minute or so (and this was 200 years ago).
