Re: Spotted a Marlin 1893 38-55
I thought the tag said 999.00 but would not swear to it. I guess if anyone is lusting for one they will need to call them. I just usually buy powder from them but couldn't find my AA wads anywhere local and when I asked was told no but if we did they would be over by those S&W T shirts so I look...

Spotted a Marlin 1893 38-55
I went to D&L Outdoors in RI to get some AA 20 ga wads today and as I was leaving I noticed they had a 1893 in 38-55. It was a rifle with what looked to be a half octagon 28 inch barrel. I didn't ask to hold it because I have no interest in it and didn't want to develop one, but thought I would ...

Re: Who likes the .410 shotgun?
Pitchy that is a beautiful SXS I had a Stevens 311 20ga when I was young that I sure wish I'd kept! I did find out what a .410 will not do and that is kill a coyote at 35 yards with #6 copper coated shot. I took this pump out to the orchard hoping to see a rabbit or two and mister coyote ran by me. ...

Who likes the .410 shotgun?
A few weeks back I attended a Whitetail unlimited banquet and was drawn to win a prize. Well my ticket was about 4th to be drawn and out of the original selection there was a 12 ga semi riot gun and a .410 pump left. I choose the .410 and have been enjoying it pretty well. I shot a box of 3" Fe...

Jim, when I was 15 I asked for several Lee loaders in the calibers we had on the home place. I had been loading 30 WCF with one for a year. Christmas Day after the presents under the tree were opened my Father brought out a box with a Rockchucker and dies for every centerfire we owned. Over 45 years...

I love that model of the 99! I know two folks who used them, sadly one of the rifles was lost to a house fire and the other was used by a warden taken from the confiscation pile and had to be returned to the state upon their retirement.
