Re: Would it be a sin to rechamber a 1952 Marlin 336 RC?
If you brought that gun to me and wanted it rechambered I'd whack you with a ball peen hammer! No, #1 the gun was not designed or warranted for those pressures and eventually the gun would develope excess headspace. #2 the gun is just too nice as it is to even think of ruining it's value. If you wan...

Re: Anybody see the lever Buff hunt on TV this morning?
I've stalked Buffalo (American Bison) on the ground dressed in buckskin and carrying a B/P Sharps. I've shot them with everything from a 30-30 to a 60 cal trade gun and I still hesitate to call it a HUNT. Buuffalo can jump like crazy, they can be mean and stomp and gore you but so can a long horn or...

Re: Musings from the Miller; The 94 can do it all!
Not only can the 94 do it all but one 94 the 30-30 can do 99% of it! If you reload and especially if you reload with cast bullets, the 30-30 is good for mouse to moose. Add a supplemental chamber and you can shoot 32 ACP, 32 S and W 32 S and W Long, 32 H and R or 30 Carbine. With cast bullets you ca...

I would be most careful buying anything with Chapparral Arms on it. The qualiity of these guns is highly suspect and they have no idea of what constitutes proper bore diameter. I have had 38-40's with bores up to 403. The parts are mismatched and it seems the guns are intended more for show than go....

Quite frankly the Winchester tang safety guns don't work! I have documented several of these rifles as having problems firing factory ammo. They have inconsistant ignition and therefore suffer with poor accuracy. The last one I worked on I replaced the Winchester parts with Browning and welded up th...

Shooting lead in a 45 Colt 92 I can push it to 1450 with no leading fairly easily. First i do a chamner cast and then I size the bullet as close as I can to the throat. In this case I size a Lee 250 rnfp to 453. I cast this bullet from 1/2 and 1/2 wheel weight and lino for plinking and high round co...

Picked one up at this price a few weeks ago. The gun is a good shooter with cast and the chamber is tighter than the Puma's. Loads that sooted in the Puma are clean in the CD. I did remover the terrorist block from the mag tube and am now able to load more than 5 shots. The action is as smoooth out ...
