The technology will soon be controlled from a headquarters. You pull the trigger and the smart gun says, "You are not authorized to fire at this time. Try again in a few minutes."

The Shootists Holiday home range is the Pistol Silhouette Range at The Whittington Center. We shoot a lot of silhouettes .. all of them in fact .. but we have never held a competition. THE .44 SPECIAL IS ALIVE AND WELL! by JOHN TAFFIN
From the old Sixgunner.com Archives (This article first appeared in the July/Aug issue of The Shootist © 1987 and is used by permission of the author) In 1905 Smith & Wesson started to test a new cartridge and a new revolver to handle the new sixgun round. Little could they realize what a treme...

You cannot replace Mass and Momentum with "technology" ... no matter how "advanced" the projectile may be. And size matters. If it didn't we would see a lot more ice pick stabbings.

I lived in Mozambique for 6 years where everything is 220. We had 170 to 180 coming into the base the first year. My load out of the Rossi levergun - 125 gr. Gold Dot JHP 21.5 gr. H110 = 2317 fps oops ... mine is the .357 not the .45. 135 gr. is pretty stubby for the .45. Most likely a good short-range load. But I personally would not care to use it. The 255 gr. 454190 bullet or the Keith 260 gr. SWC would be m...

Re: .44 Special Loads Over The Years - All With bullet #429421
I've noticed over the years that using Unique in the .44 Special and .45 Colt, you can figure about 100 fps per grain of powder. It varies of course from gun to gun and with barrel lengths, but that Skeeter load will give an honest 800 fps and better in the .44. And a grain more in the .45 Colt give...

It got me to dig out my Model 10 and do some shooting with it. The Model 10's are normally such amazingly fine shooting guns that it's hard to ignore them. This one is no different. It was a Police gun before I got it. I bought it as an unbarreled import. Originally a 2" gun I fitted a 4" ...
