IIRC some of the Spanish El Tigre 92s or South American 92s that found their way to police use down yonder were chambered in ACP. I remember seeing a few so stamped at a pawn shop in Phoenix (sadly gone) that used to occasionally have some interesting old levers.

Uberti also makes a .44 Special-specific '73 - through Cimarron (and maybe Taylors?)--but not just via "Uberti." (Ditto their SAAs, same dynamic). A friend has a Cimarron 1873 SRC .44 Sp in their "original" (antiqued) finish and it's great.

Looks like false alarm - contact with Marlin de-confirms - no such animal and all other cal. 1894s suspended til 2014.

The person I talked with said they wish they'd re-intro the .32 as they get a lot of calls on. This was not a techie so I did not get into the .327 argument.

Hey, it's not just in the movies and on TV, but "real" life too. I know first hand - as a kid being Sgt Saunders, I can personally vouche my Thompson's mag held at least 250, and a buddy's Garand at least 100 before he loudly pronounced "ca-ching" :) :)
