WHat finish to use on Remington Stock?
I have stripped and lightly sanded a stock for a Rem 700. The wood has very nice grain, and strangely enough the color goes from red to light blonde. I don't want a glossy lacquer finish, would prefer a clear oil that added a little red maybe. Not trying to appear original at all. Any suggestions? S...

I saw a food show on the net where they visited Harrison Ford's son who has a resturaurant in Beverly Hills or someplace out there. His fancy meal was a baby pig cooked for hours in fat on top of the stove. Like a cross between a deep fat fryer and a slow cooker. Those little piggies look to be jus...

The back (base) of your bullet probably controls how accurate it will be. What does the rim measure? The rims on my fired 40s&w measure .419", the same as a 10mm case. I shoot a ton of 40s&w and the cases aren't uniformly the size you want. Even in my Glocks, the cases come out routine...

700 - 721 barrel threads are the same. Barrel probably will headspace, but the sights, if any, may be on the bottom or somewhere else. If you need the sights or lettering in the right place, you will probably need a lathe, reamer and gauges. Headspace must be checked, no matter what. That's why I l...

Lightening kills far more Americans than wolves bears, cougars and coyotes ever will. It happens, but hardly ever. We are far more likely to be killed on the way to the gunshop by old people or teenagers driving.
