I will .. like Scott ... stick to the old tried and true leverguns. IMG_0184.JPG IMG_3179.JPG I took the Rossi .357 to the CSA Shoot in Arkansas last week. Using the 125 gr. Speer jacketed bullet over 20 gr. of WC820 at ranges to 100 yards offhand it proved accurate. I was able to ring the 4" t...

While it is certainly not something I am interested in, these days I hate to "pooh pooh" anyone who is venturing into the firearms field with something new. And if marketed, it will attract some. Whether that's enough to make it viable or not will remain to be seen.

I always shot every sixgun I got a lot. I put hundreds of rounds through them, sometimes many more than that, before I decided to do anything with them. If the result of shooting super high velocity, lightweight bullets like from a .220 Swift or a .264 at game animals frequently results in massive surface wounds but little penetration, then my guess is that similar results would occur shooting a large diameter, lightweight bullet. I've noticed over the years that using Unique in the .44 Special and .45 Colt, you can figure about 100 fps per grain of powder. It varies of course from gun to gun and with barrel lengths, but that Skeeter load will give an honest 800 fps and better in the .44. And a grain more in the .45 Colt give...
