I've had an 1894C for about 4 years and it is my favorite lever-gun. I've never had a single mechanical problem, and the gun feeds any .357 or .38 that I shove into the mag tube. Nowadays, when I travel, I always take a concealed-carry sidearm (Kimber) and my Marlin 1894 in .357.

If I'm going hunting, I carry more to suit the specific purpose of the hunt.

But I always take the Kimber and the Marlin.
