[*]Joe I hear ya. Hunting on public land all my life, any deer was a trophy. Even on guided hunts I would take the first legal animal I had a good shot at. Davidsons Winchester 1892 takedown ?
They have the 24" barrel in 45LC on sale. Anybody have one? Now that NKJ welds up the tang safety and maybe replaces the rebounding hammer ,he posted he does the 1886, maybe it's time I bought my first Winchester lever. What do you think!!!

Price check on Browning 1886
Now ,for now, I have all the Marlin's I want. So, I now have a itch for a 1886 Browning rifle. Browning because of the lack of tang safety and rebounding hammer. I'm sure they go for a premium  I want one but I am not willing to pay a crazy price. What is a fair price for one according to con...

To me finding the right gun for what I was hunting was what drove me to what I would purchase. So having a 12 gauge,270Win and 22lr was perfect. Not being able to touch a handgun until you are 21 in NY kept me from giving them much thought. Now that I am 21 , handguns are my weakness! Target s...

Very nice Mike, couple questions if you don't mind. The Penn. muzzle loader season requires a flintlock yes? Can you recommend a modern flinter rifle and pistol if legal? Are the muzzleloader special seasons open to out of staters? Again great story, shot and pictures!!!

Larson go over to the ARF15.com website. There is a huge library of info about shooting the poly steel case stuff. From what I read the steel is good to go. Just don't shoot brass once you start a session with steel until you clean the chamber.

Very nice rig :D I got to ask other then the "why not" factor. Why would one choose a stretch frame revolver in a rifle cartridge to be a holster hunting rig? Hunting with a pistol that big why not go with a single shot. If you want a revolver there's the Linebaughs and Reeder catridges up...
