Re: 50 AK in trailboss

Thanks for the replies :D I bought the trailboss mainly for loading the 50 cal handgun rounds -510 gnr ,500 Linebaugh . I was looking for lighter loads using cast to punch paper and make the range sessions last a little longer . That got me thinking about the 50ak I have in a Marlin 1895 with a brak...

Just received the Cabelas shooting catalog

They have a couple of levers that really look good. A win 1894 oct barrel and the one I was drooling over, a win 1886/71 in 45/70 . It's a Italian copy ,anybody know what the skinny is on the two rifles? Good ,bad or ugly?

Re: Marlin Jam Driving me Crazy (45-70) - What would you do?

I sent my Marlin 1895 cowboy to David for a chop, throat, internals smoothed, trigger job basically all things needed to have the rifle run flawlessly which it does. That said your rifle should be sent back on his dime and not returned until it works as he advertised !

I have been reading too long here members using trail boss for reduced big bore loads ,having good accuracy and extended range time 8) I am jumping in! Do I have this right?
