Re: Peep Sight vs Iron Sight
I have 2 rifles with peeps front and rear, and 1 with open sights. For the competitions I shoot I do need to use open sights at times, but I do get better accuracy with the peep sights. For most matches I use Williams or Lyman rear sights and a Lyman 17 front sight, with Lee Shaver inserts. Even if ...

Re: powders for the .357 rifle
Heck, we resurrected an old one here. I recently switched from Lil'gun to 296 as I was not happy with the heating of the barrel that Lil'gun produced. 296 seems to give the same performance with less powder and much less heat. MP300 is said to be good, but we have trouble getting a steady supply of ...

If demand exceeds supply WHY are they shutting down factories?! Probably because the old factories date back to the 70s and produce less precise work, due to wear in the machinery, and produce at a slower rate. Re: Peep sights for Rossi 24" rifle?
The Williams FP is not suitable because CLAS rules require that the sight be made for the rifle, and as the Rossi is not D&T for a receiver sight it cannot be used. The rifle already has the second hole in the tang so a tang sight would be the logical answer. How good are the Taurus tang sight a...

I really cannot believe that the 45 Colt/long colt issue is still doing the rounds. In 1871, Smith and Wesson patented the 45 Schofield. The US army used both the 45 Schofield, and the 45 Colt peacemaker. The Schofield rounds would feed through the Peacemaker revolvers but the Colt round would not f...

Even a full progressive press is still a hand operated tool.
