The regular Bee is a wonderful cartridge that has enough neck to be a nice cast bullet platform. And with Lil' Gun I'd bet you can get a regular Bee to beat the velocity those Mashburns get with their case full of 4198. The Mashburn is cute though!

I feel much more comfortable with a fill of 60% or thereabouts so a double charge will be obvious. I do plenty of charges that do not make that, but my comfort level is lower and therefore I look down in each case extra hard before stuffing in a bullet. Fortunately for us tin can shooters they still make fine tin cans. That's what I use when us boys go out for a bit of can shooting. Plastic with water in it is fun but it is also "one and done"; tin cans can be shot until they are practically steel confetti.

Well that's a blast from the past! I don't think I ever did have any data for the Herter's powders. I have 100 and 103 here; should probably figure out something to use them up in while they are still fresh (less than 50 years old). Hmmm.... well, maybe not much over 50 years old.
