As a symbol of respect/recognition I can see the guy's old gunbelt and hat, devoid of cartridges or gun, at a maximum...if the guy was a friend or other (presumbly!) good guy. Never any hardware.

+1 some fine looking firearms there. I like that El Patron. Held a similar Uberti/Cim/Taylors at a Bass Pro Shop with the polished checkered grips - and was really taken by their current levels of apparent quality. Sure enjoy my Cim Model P .44.

Right handed - left eye dominant here. Have shot revolvers right handed (left eyed) and rifles (mostly RH rifles) left handed all my life. Can't shoot worth a darn with a rifle right handed. Also, maybe he's ambidextrous like Chuck Connors, especially with a rifle, but favoring his right for pistola...

Can you say "steal"?! Outstanding. I've certainly enjoyed mine, but it's been awhile since I've seen a side-by-side comparison - and didn't recall the carbine wood actually being longer than the rifle's. As you say, the carbine's no lightweight itself.!

Another thing - I just read the "one piece" part regarding your current grips. Mine were too - we had to fashion (weld) a locating pin for the Colt grips, as the Uberti--at least my example--didnt have one, being set up for a one-piece only from the factory.
