Yes this was a good video. He recently did another video on the new Uberti 1894. The youtube title is: "The first M 1894 Winchester lever action rifle and the 38-55 cartridge". Uberti did a really nice job with this rifle. Top eject, traditional lock work, no tang safety.

I've only seen one in my life and it was at night while driving. It was standing along a road and stuck out like a sore thumb.

It's a superstition that shooting an albino deer will bring bad luck. Anyone else familiar with this?

I used to read his Guns and Ammo monthly column called "Survive!" in the late 70s, pretty sure that's what it was called. Never had his books though.

Mine is a stainless steel SRC without the safety. I bought mine NIB probably 20 yrs ago or so and will have to check the sales receipt to verify the exact date. It's has an amazingly smooth action.

At this point I'm surprised Winchester has not already had Miroku resurrect the 9422. As for Marlin, I've heard from a reliable source in Connecticut that as Ruger continues the Marlin journey, they will have a 22 lever gun in the works.

I got mine just before the bolt mounted safety was introduced, a stainless steel SRC in 44-40. Really nice little carbine. We all know that the extra safety isn't necessary but lawyers unfortunately call the shots.

These are great little carbines made by Miroku as already pointed out. Even better than the later ones made by Miroku and stamped "Winchester" because they do not have the ugly tang safety and rebounding hammer.
