There are a lot of good quality holster makers out there. I like a number of different makers as I prefer authentic reproductions. I suggest looking at Jeff Morrow's site "Shootingstar Saddlery". http://www.shootingstar.montana.com Then there's Old West Reproductions by Rick Bachman. http:...

crs,

First let me thank you for the links. They were great.

Second, my rifle looks just like yours, Marble tang sight and all, except for mine's not a take down model. I think yours is by the looks of it, or am I wrong? I love it.

Thanks again.

And people periodically go swimming in that water and occassionally go missing. Hmm, wonder why that is.

That is a monster.

Thanks Griff. I felt bad that he'd replied and spent time working on getting me information and everytime I tried to post, it'd kick me out. Arrrgggh. KirkD Thanks for the info. I have a question on the single ply of TP. The reason for it's use was to keep the powder back against the prime pocket fo...

BigSky56, about where in Montana are you? I'm not familiar with Cabinet Mountains.

(Edit) I googled the Cabinet Mountains and found the Cabinet Wilderness around Libby. Pretty rugged area. Not far from home. I'd love to hunt elk in that area on horseback. Getting a lot of Griz in there?

Hobie, after reading your reply to my post I realized I might of been a little harsh. I know you guys are working hard on correcting Leverguns. I should be more appreciative. Thank you. I apologize to any and all if I offended anyone.

Loads for Win. 45-90 BPCR

Just picked up a new Winchester Classic 1886 in 45-90 BPCR. In a post on the old Leverguns Forum this was discussed a little bit. But now that I have one I'd like to hear what other experienced levergunners are using in their 45-90's. IIRC, someone said disregard the "blackpowder only" war...

Can we get an "Amen". Good job.

I think sometimes we believe that pastor's aren't interested in hunting or firearm sports. As far as the male persuation, they're men just like the rest of us, and almost all males like the smell of gunpowder. :D

The receiver looks matted, like it's been plated as already stated. I wonder if it isn't hard chromed.

I would be a little apprehensive about riding around with that brute out there. He appears to be pretty good sized. If he got acclimated to humans and spooked your horse out from under you, you might find yourself face to face with him. It's different knowing you might run into one then knowing one ...

Not exactly the same, but it's like the story I read somewhere a while back about the pro-gun guy that lived next door to an anti-gun. The anti was adamant about not having one of those evil things in his house. The pro was going to put up a sign in his yard that his neighbor (sign pointing to the a...

Yahoo, I made it over.

I don't know why it took me so long in making my way over here other than I was getting so fed up with Leverguns that I read the post about moving over here and the rest is now history. :D :D :D
