Re: Paco and the 44mag
Random musings, I always wished Paco would have articled some hotrod loads for 44mag in a Rossi92 like he did in the 357, 45 colt and 454 casull. Not that I need more power but would just be interesting to see how the cartridge did with similar upper pressure limit applications. :) KING OF THE HILL...

Accident
A guy gets up in the morning to find his girlfriend is already up and watching the news. She seems really upset and he says "Hey honey... what's the matter?" She says, "Two Brazilian skydivers were killed in an accident!" He said, "That's awful!" And she replied, "...

I have been using them for the 9mm and 380 ACP for several years. I also have some in the .45-70 and the .44 Magnum. They work really well. Mic McPherson says if you shoot them enough they will condition your barrel. He is a big proponent of them.

Religions have no moral high ground from which to judge other religions. They all have a history of killing the opposition if they won't convert. It was religious christian knights who coined the phrase "Kill 'em all. Let God sort them out." if i remember correctly.

There ain't nothing like a fairly heavy large diameter bullet at moderate velocities. They just work. The last time I talked with John Linebaugh about a month before he passed, he was sharing with me about some of the game he and his wife took with 850 fps loads in the .45 Colt.

Jim, I don’t know how much progress we have made. If you stay with the same velocities in these older cartridges, I do not see much advantage in more modern designs. I favor a 255 gr soft bullet at comfortable velocities. You can get better performance if you raise the bullet weight and the velocit...

Little-Known Reloading Phenomena
I discovered this during an extended session of prepping brass and reloading. It was a massive undertaking using my ...

I won't laugh but I will say my .32-20 rifle loads gave right at 2000 fps with 125 gr. Spitzer and 1800 fps with 140 gr. LBT cast bullet. The 100 gr. Speer JHP ran over 2100 fps. Now 1100+ fps from the little handgun is pretty durn hot and nothing to be sneezed at as long as it is reliable and accur...

I shot .44-40's out of my 410 when I was a kid. Made a really neat slug load.
EDIT: I also shot .30-30's. Pointed straight up the bullet would go about 15 feet or so. Big boom. If the brass didn't split I reloaded them with shot.

Parlour Pistols and Flobert Loads
Messing around with some .22 caliber round balls in the air rifle, I hit upon the idea of loading and shooting them in my little .22 caliber Bearcat Shopkeeper. No powder charge, just the priming.
