Re: Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant No Gun Zone
You can reason about it but then you are leaving it up to the cop's reaction. They call it an attempt to defraud a merchant here. Although without the gun the cop is most likely just going to investigate to see what the reason was for the problem and see if it can be resolved. I was involved in a m...

Scope advice
With my 22 rifle I do most of my shooting at the indoor range at 50 ft. I have the Weaver 2.5-7x rimfire scope on there now. But I've always had trouble getting things in focus with it. If I focus on the target, the crosshairs are blurry or double image. If I focus the crosshairs, the target is blur...

Weaver 40/44 series?
Anybody have one of these? I just noticed them; it looks like a new line. How do they compare to the V series? I need a scope for my fancy 22 lr target model; normal use would be at 50 feet in the indoor range, so brightness is a plus. It would not get a lot of rough handling, I would probably not h...

before I got into shooting I almost went for archery instead. I used to shoot bow and arrow as a kid, but could never have even a bb gun. I'm glad I got into firearms but it may be time to take up archery.
I also have a Benjamin Sheridan and it's a nice break to take it into the forest.

Is it worth getting a stainless steel barrel for a rifle in a "barrel burning" caliber?
Do they last longer? I'm not talking about weather-resistance or rust. But do they outlast regular barrels in high velocity calibers like .243 ?

I'm in favor of zeroing to an odd distance that leaves you slightly high at 100 and slightly low at 200. Then you can put the crosshairs on any target from zero to 200 and you'll hit it. The added advantage of this is you start at 25 or 30 yards. If you set your scope dead on at 30 yards, it will al...

I still go to the indoor range every week and shoot some 22 lr. I generally shoot about 20 rounds a trip. I've come up with a new game that saves ammo - I put 1/4" yellow dots (cut out with a hole puncher) on a black background. I shoot until the dot disappears - sort of the opposite of "S...

I have a self-defrosting freezer that actually lets things thaw out a little and then re-freezes them, it deteriorated the meat in about 8 months. Pitchy, next project is to design a wall mount for when you need more leverage (sizing 30 carbine or something). The press can slide into a plate which is mounted to the wall, then removed when done. You'll see when you get it. Bottom line is it can function like a regular mounted press. If you don'...

The .357 mdl 94AE does have it's own distinct lever. The only difference is the addition of the hole to attach the cartridge block. I put a lever from an old 30-30 in my .357AE because it was .025" thicker than the original that rattled around in the link like a piece of junk. In fact there is...
