The road running North from Sinclair to Kortes dam.....could I make that journey in a Toyota Corolla??? Regrettably, my truck has fallen victim to a wayward driver.
I'll be driving from Nebraska...my plan is to camp there a night or two, and dine on fresh Trout.
Any advice appreciated!

Head to the Joslyn Art Museum on the corner of 24th and Dodge Street. You can't miss it...its a huge pink marble building. Check out the old west art collection, original works by Charlie Russell...and many others. Admission is free. https://www.joslyn.org/collections-and-exhibitions/permanent-colle...

On the matter of new technology; both of my grandfathers made it clear to me....the Tractor, propelled by a combustion engine was the one of the most practical inventions of their time. Having plowed the earth as young men using draft animals; they had no desire to return to the "old days"...

Re: Strangest thing you have seen while hunting
I was hunting Pronghorn a few years back, and glassing a large herd about a thousand yards distant. A very large bird-of-prey with a smaller one off its wing, coasted into view and proceeded to "round up" a couple of does that were grazing alongside the main herd. After running them in a c...

My first center fire handgun is this Model 57 I purchased new in 1985. Thousands and thousands of rounds later...it shows its mileage in the forcing cone. Blue Dot is its favorite powder. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a42/PaperPatch/S6303145.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a42/PaperPa...

Condensation is the issue here on the cold prairie. After arriving indoors, 5 minutes with an electric hair dryer has everything dried out and up to room temperature.

Outdoors at the range, I use a small spirit level and first post a target with distinct vertical and horizontal lines and level it on a target board 50 to 100 yards out. This provides a known verticle/horizontal reference point. Then I level the the firearm receiver, securing it as necessary(usually...
